Hotel and conference centre

It was the client’s request for a reliable and responsive firm that saw Connell Contract Services appointed as the maintenance and project decorating contractor for this large hotel and conference centre. Whether working overnight to re-decorate the kitchens or responding within 24 hours to re-decorate a conference room, it is our staff’s speed, professionalism and reliability that fully justify the hotel’s decision to appoint Connell Contract Services.

Chinese and Japanese restaurant

When a Chinese restaurant decided to extend and create a Japanese section, Connell Contract Services was chosen to undertake work including wallpapering, painting, varnishing and staining using a variety of colours. All work was done with no disruption to the existing restaurant, which stayed open throughout. On completion, a delighted client has since placed further orders with the company.

Luxury apartments

Connell Contract Services helped effect the remarkable transformation of an 11 storey council office block into 188 luxury apartments, complete with pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium. The company was cited by the client as the best performing and most reliable contractor to have worked on this project. Connell Contract Services have since been awarded a contract by the same client for an even more luxurious 120 apartment building in Ealing, West London.

Large warehouse refurbishment

A major UK company entrusted Connell Contract Services with the refurbishment of a 30,000 sq.ft warehouse in Milton Keynes. The work comprised repairs to the fabric of the building, as well as complete internal and external re-decoration. This included grit blasting and epoxy-coating of the concrete floors.

Large storage tank

This highly complex contract required detailed planning and programming to ensure successful completion and absolute adherence to all health and safety requirements. The very real dangers of explosion and working with toxic materials in a confined space meant that specialists were required. Connell Contract Services’ personnel were chosen because they had the appropriate safety training allowing them to work in potentially hazardous conditions - as well as great experience and a high skill level. Very few UK companies would have been experienced or qualified enough to have achieved this work. The job included the complete shot blasting of the internal surfaces of this large stainless steel storage tank, followed by the application of very heavy duty paint specially imported from France. This achieved the necessary protection from the toxic waste products that would subsequently be stored inside.
